Malta’s annual inflation rate as measured by the Retail Price Index (RPI) was 1.91% in April, according to figures published by the National Statistics Office (NSO).
NSO statistics show that the measure was up from 1.89% in March and the twelve-month moving average rate for April stood at a rate of 1.47%.
Food and housing sectors saw the highest annual inflation rates of 4.81% and 2.43%, respectively. The lowest annual inflation rate appeared in the water, electricity, gas and fuels sector (0.1%), while the clothing and footwear segment went down by 0.35%, according to NSO figures.
