Malta’s Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa has become an ambassador hotel for Champagne Barons de Rothschild, according to a press statement sent to Business Malta.

“We are honoured to join the likes of the Ritz in London and the Grand Hotel in Saint Jean de Luz, France, to receive this honour, and be appointed an official ambassador hotel for Champagne Barons de Rothschild,” said Adrian Attard, General Manager of Corinthia Palace.

“The Rothschild plaque will now be proudly displayed outside our signature dining destination, the Villa Corinthia, in testament to this exciting partnership,” said Mr Attard after receiving the ambassador plaque in Villa Corinthia.

“Champagne is an important part of the Corinthia Palace experience, and we look forward to the pleasure that Champagne Barons de Rothschild will bring to our patrons. Champagne is a magnificent drink that should be enjoyed throughout the year and not just on special occasions. As Charles Dickens said, ‘Champagne is one of the elegant extras in life’,” Mr Attard said.

The Rothschild family has been known in the world of wines for more than 160 years. The Champagne Barons de Rothschild is known as one of the “most rigorously demanding producers” of fine champagne, the press statement says.
