CasinoBeats Malta 2020 will bring a four-track conference and a two-day exhibition to the island nation, taking place at the Intercontinental in St Julian’s on March 25-26 in 2020, according to a press statement sent to Business Malta

Organisers say that the second edition of the event will be held in 2020 after the staging event hosted in June 2019 was well received by the attendants.

The event set for 2020 aspires to bring together 1,500 senior-level attendees from operators, suppliers and regulators, joined by a “carefully-curated host of sector visionaries” to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the online casino industry, the press statement says.

“We began hosting networking events in Malta in 2019, led locally by Lorena Torregrosa, our Business Development Director on the island. What we have learnt is that the Malta iGaming community is vibrant and agile, with companies very keen to engage with the CasinoBeats way of doing things,” said Stewart Darkin, Managing Director of CasinoBeats.

“We are very excited about returning to Malta in March [2020], with a bigger event that reflects the desire of the island’s gaming sector to engage with thoughtful content and unrivalled networking opportunities,” Mr Darkin added.

“Having three speakers from operators and three from providers gave a lot of insight because there are two sides to the story. It is interesting to see what the other side is looking at and it is good to hear their views on innovation,” said James Ford, Head of Casino at LeoVegas, during a panel discussing the iGaming sector’s search for innovation at the inaugural CasinoBeats Malta 2019.

“The sessions encourage discussions that you may have behind closed doors or with colleagues and you get a wider perspective. It is a calibration of what the market is feeling,” said Simon Hammon, Chief Product Officer at Relax Gaming, after 2019 event.
